Veenu Gupta, Principal Secretary Industries and MD of Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO), told a joint press conference here that about 300 foreign buyers and 75 Indian buying houses/agents have been targeted in this regard.
Of the 300 foreign buyers, as many as 200 of them from 57 countries including Australia, Latin America and CIS countries besides 35 Indian buying houses have confirmed their participation, she said.
Exhibitors' would showcase yarn, fabric, apparel, accessories, home textiles and technical textiles, she said.

Besides, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka and Lesotho have also confirmed their visit to fair, she said.
Vivek Khandelwal, General Secretary of Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan, said Vastra-2013 had generated a business of Rs.75 cr last year, and this year a target of Rs.150 to Rs.200 cr has been set.
Anil Sharma, General Manager (Business and Promotion), RIICO, said there was an export of textiles (various kinds) to the tune of Rs 1200 cr, and the state government wanted to raise it to Rs 2500 cr in the coming years.
