Integrated Fishing Village project inaugurated

Projects worth Rs 114 crore will be implemented in 57 fishing villages as part of the Integrated Fishing Village Project of the Kerala government, which was inaugurated near here today.
Fisheries and Ports Minister K Babu announced this while inaugurating the project at Pallithura.
"Developmental projects worth about Rs 199.93 lakh will be taken up at Pallithura, including electrification project worth Rs 4.43 lakh, installation of high mast lights worth Rs 32 lakh and solar street lighting worth Rs 20.50 lakh," he said.
The Integrated Fishing Village Project is an initiative of Kerala State Coastal Area Development Corporation Limited (KSCADC).
KSCADC Director Board Member, Veli Varghese, General Manager in-charge R Suresh Kumar and representatives from local bodies and regional political leaders attended the function.
