Intel India inaugurates 'Unnati Kendras' in 10 Telangana towns

Intel India said today it has inaugurated its 'Unnati Kendras' (UKs), an initiative aimed at digitisation and delivering Government-related content to the citizens, across 10 towns in Telangana.
"A part of Intel India's 'Ek Kadam Unnati Ki Aur' programme, these UKs are part of the company's nationwide plan to create a blueprint for the digitisation of non-urban India," the Indian arm of the US-based chip maker said in a y statement here.
Intel India would collaborate with 10 Common Service Centers (CSCs) across the districts of Warangal, Nalgonda, Medak, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Adilabad and Ranga Reddy, to "drive the relevance of PC adoption"", it said.

Each 'Unnati Kendra' will be equipped with Intel powered devices, local language content, and relevant training modules for non-urban citizens in the state.
Trained personnel at these centres would conduct in-depth sessions on digital literacy, computer skills and Internet facilities every week, along with dedicated guidance sessions in entrepreneurship, language and vocational training, the statement said.
The centres would also be used as platforms for delivering Government-related content to the citizens - digital literacy, financial inclusion and healthcare.
