According to the MET office, Allahabad recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 47.3 degrees Celsius, which was five notches above normal, followed by Banda with at 46.8 degrees Celsius, a rise of four degrees.
The state capital Lucknow also experienced the blistering heat at 43.7 degrees Celsius, which was three notches above normal, it said.
Most other districts in the state recorded maximum temperatures at 41 degrees, the MET department said.
The weatherman has forecast dry weather over the state while rain/thundershowers could occur at isolated places.
