Inter-faith Milan Utsav held in Mayapur

To uphold the legacy of camaraderie between communities, the ISKCON today organised "Sri MahaPrabhu Chand Kazi Inter Faith Milan Utsav" in Mayapur.
The objective of such a rendezvous between the communities was to discuss the commonalities between faiths - Islam and Vaishnavism - and develop a connect with each other, an ISKCON statement said here.
Besides devotees and top management of ISKCON Mayapur, presidents and secretaries of eight mosques, an idgah and a madrasa participated at the programme, it said.
Around 350 representatives of the community also graced the occasion which was held for the second time in a row following overwhelming responses from all sections of the society for Iftar Samabesh, held last year, the statement said.

In the 16th century when Sri Chaitanya MahaPrabhu sowed the seeds of an eternal relationship with senior government official Chand Kazi by means of Sankirtan.
