Inter-state gang of thieves unearthed, two held in UP

An inter-state gang of thieves was unearthed with the arrest of two of its members from Delhi-Agra Highway here and jewelery worth lakhs was seized from their possession, police said today.
The duo, identified as Haresh alias Krishna Rathore and Shivnarayan alias Bhoora Thakur, was yesterday arrested by a Special Operations Group (SOG) while the kingpin of the gang Devendra Chauhan, a resident of Agra, had managed to flee, SP Alok Priyadarshani said.
The gang was active in Agra, Firozabad, Mathura, Palwal and Bharatpur, the accused told during interrogation.
Police have also recovered stolen ATM cards and laptop from a house where they used to keep the stolen items in Farah area here, the SP said.
