"The main objective of the meeting was to share terror related intelligence and inputs about various extremist outfits and their designs in view of forthcoming Independence Day celebrations. Senior officers of Delhi Police and their counterparts from Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir attended the meeting," said a senior Delhi Police official.
Terror related intelligence and inputs about various extremist outputs and their designs in view of the forthcoming Independence Day celebration were shared at the meeting, the official added.
Speaking at the meeting, Bassi stressed on increasing police presence, intensive and co-ordinated checking at vulnerable points, tenant verification, guest house checking and sensitization of cyber cafe owners, second-hand car dealers, transporters, property dealers, cycle sellers, chemical dealers and STD/ISTD PCO booth owners in order to strengthen the counter terrorism measures.
He also said that all new initiatives and technology for better policing should be shared. He informed that Delhi Police has launched a mobile App for 'Lost Articles' which has been widely appreciated.
