The new schedule of the ISA's formal launch, where a large number of stakeholders are expected, has not been finalised, New & Renewable Energy Secretary Anand Kumar told PTI.
Besides, the second edition of Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet & Expo, RE-INVEST 2017, scheduled for December 7-9, at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida is postponed to April 19-21, 2018.
"The RE-INVEST 2017 has been postponed due to inconvenience to stakeholder nations including Germany, the UK and Czech. Some of these nations are going to the polls. The RE-INVEST 2017 has been rescheduled for April 19-21," he said.
ISA looks to provide a platform for cooperation among solar resource rich countries where the global community, including corporates, industry, and other stakeholders, can make a positive contribution to assist and help achieve the common goals of increasing the use of solar energy.

Of the Rs 4 lakh crore funding from financial institutions, including public and private sector banks, during RE-INVEST 2015, around Rs 1.37 lakh crore were disbursed.
India needs an investment of around USD 100 billion to meet the target of having 175 GW renewable energy capacity by 2022.
