Interstate gang of women thieves busted in Kota, 10 arrested

An interstate woman gang allegedly involved in a number of burglaries was busted by the local police with the arrest of eight women and two men, police said today.
The accused were arrested yesterday by a special police team at Ridhi-Sidhi colony on Bunedi road under Kunhadi police station area, they said.
"We got suspicious of their movements. They were brought to Kunhadi police station for interrogation during which they admitted to having committed several incidents of burglaries in Kota and other cities as well," Superintendent of Police Sawai Singh Godara said.
The women members of the gang are Neelu alias Bhuri, Sajani (gang leaders), Kali, Kanta, Kanu, Annu, Sheela and Dhanni.
The other two arrested are Dolatram Kanjar and Jubbi alias Sumit. All the accused are residents of Vijaynagar of Ajmer district, police said.
During the initial interrogation, they admitted to having committed burglaries in Kota, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Delhi, Kanpur, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Goa, Walsaad, Surat, Ratlam and Ujjan, the SP said.

"The gang carried out burglaries in the wee hours when police patrolling retires and changed cities in every few days. Also, the women members of the gang sold toys and men sold shoe polish to evade suspicion," said Godara.
The gang members were earlier arrested in Delhi but following the admission of crime and a few months in jail they were released.
The accussed weretodayproduced before a local court which sent them to one-day police remand, police said.
