"We are checking more than 3,000 'Intents to Invest' in Madhya Pradesh that came on our website. This step has been taken after some anomalies were noticed while cross-checking them," Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia told reporters here.
"We are contacting the people who have expressed their intents to invest. Some of them appear bogus," the minister said.
Notably, the state government has been trying to woo industrialists by offering them various sops.
At the summit, 3,716 investment proposals worth Rs 5.89 lakh crore were received, Yashodhara said, adding that investment relationship managers and nodal officers have been deputed to facilitate these projects.
She further said that 13,916 micro industries with investment of Rs 129.74 crore, 336 small industries with Rs 413.04 crore and nine medium industries with Rs 80.20 crore had been set up in the state last year. These industries have generated 36,841 employments.
