IOC post 6-4 win over BPCL

Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Mumbai came from behind to register a 6-4 victory over Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in their semifinal match in the 88th MCC-Murugappa Gold Cup hockey tournament here today.
Experienced and in-form Raghunath exhibited his brilliance as he scored four goals for Indian Oil, including a a hat-trick in the second half. Roshan Minz and Dharamveer Singh were the other goal scorers for the winning team.
Sher Singh (8th), Gurpreet Singh (21st), Pundalik Bellary (23rd) and Hari Prasad (53rd) netted the ball for BPCL.
Playing the first semifinal tie against the arch-rivals Indian Oil, who had maintained a clear slate in the league phase, failed to get into the rhythm in the first half and were trailing 1-3 at the break.
BPCL took the lead in the fourth minute when Sher Singh made good use of a cross by Jarnail Singh to net the ball.
The Indian Oil, meanwhile, wasted two hard earned penalty corners.

But Raghunath, penalty corner specialist, made sure that they made full use of the third one as he scored the equaliser in the 13th minute.
BPCL then scored two more goals through Gurpreet Singh, who cashed in on a tailor made cross by Birendra Lakra in the 22nd minute, while Pundalik Bellary hit the net in 24th minute.
But in the second half, Indian Oil turned the tide in their favour. Raghunath scored three goals through penalty corners.
In the 53rd minute, Hari Prasad of BPCL scored from a free hit.
In the 69th minute, Dharamveer Singh scored the sixth goal for Indian Oil.
