"IPCL as an integrated power generation and distribution company with plans to ramp up both conventional and renewable energy portfolios, aims to make RPO an in-built process rather than mandatory obligation and intends to reinforce its energy sustainability model," IPCL chairman Hemant Kanoria said at the company's AGM here today.
In 2013-14 IPCL procured 0.727 million units of solar power from Seebpore unit of West Bengal Green Energy Corporation or about 0.07% of the total power requirement of the company in its distribution command area.
