"Getting into the digitisation mode is necessary to bring about reformative change in the country's economy as people in the remotest parts can avail of the banking services through digitisation only," Irani said.
Claiming that the emphasis on digitisation had evoked an enthusiastic response all over the country, she said mobile banking transactions had registered 40 per cent rise in recent months and about 17 million people had connected themselves with Bhim app.
She asked people to opt for digital payment modes to strengthen the country's economy.
