Irani launches revamped website of NCTE

The revamped website of NCTE was launched here today by HRD Minister Smriti Irani to bring more transparency in the governance of teacher education.
The National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) website in new avatar will be "dynamic and responsive" with application for teacher education programmes, redressal of public grievances and appeal processes, a statement by the ministry issued here said.
The portal will be user-friendly and responsive and can be accessed through any device including mobiles, it said.
A person can also file online complaint and RTI application through the portal and an acknowledgement will be immediately sent through SMS as well as e-mail.
"The website is rich in content, which contains rules, regulations, norms and standards, frequently asked questions, information for ongoing activities, teacher education curriculum, publications, video galleries etc," the statement said.
