"This deal with Iran is the equivalent of the United States negotiating with terrorists. Every US Senator must be forced to vote and show the American people whether they support or oppose this dangerous new strategy," Jindal said.
A Republican presidential candidate, Jindal said there is talk inside Republican Senate conference of the possibility of not ever forcing a vote on the Iran deal now that it appears Obama has the 41 votes necessary to filibuster.
"Not forcing every single member of the US Senate to cast a vote would be tantamount to surrender. The American people will not tolerate this kind of cowardice," Jindal said.
The 44-year-old Indian-American Governor of southeastern US State of Louisiana is trailing far behind in the presidential race, having failed so far to be in the top 10 of the crowded 17 Republican presidential candidates.
