Mumbai Port Trust commissions second liquid chemical berth * The Mumbai Port Trust today commissioned its second liquid chemical berth with a 2.5 million metric tonnes capacity built at an investment of Rs 127 crore.
"With full commissioning of this berth, the cargo handling capacity of the Port will increase by 2.5 MMT per annum. However, this will not add to the burden of city's road/rail infrastructure as discharge of cargo from the ship to the storage will be through pipelines," Gadkari said.
The port's chairman Ravi Parmar said the full commissioning will also result in substantial reduction of cost to the importers with faster turnaround of ships carrying bigger parcel size.

as dividend tax to the Income Tax (IT) department.
"As part of dividend tax in view of the recently declared 1,200 per cent dividend by HZL, the IT department today received Rs 2,065 crore from the company," it said in a statement.
80% sales now shipped through own fulfilment centres: Snapdeal
* Ecommerce major Snapdeal today said it now ships over 80 per cent of the sales on its platform through its own fulfilment centres.
Snapdeal has 63 SD+ centres across 25 cities in India.
"Managing a majority of our shipments through our own fulfilment centres is part of our mission to provide a reliable and frictionless customer experience," Snapdeal co-founder Rohit Bansal said in a statement.
Shipping through SD+ gives the opportunity to screen quality of products and the quality of packaging, he added.

Industry body welcomes quality norms order for stainless steel
* Industry body Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA) applauded government's move introducing the Stainless Steel Products Quality Control Order, 2016.
It must be noted that the order does not cover raw material (stainless steel) containing less than 1 per cent nickel. While stainless steel containing less than 1 per cent nickel is majorly used for kitchen utensils, it added.
Moreover, this order is not restrictive as the end user is free to use other grades of stainless steel which is not covered in the order. Therefore, the onus to supply ISI marked stainless steel rests exclusively on the stainless steel manufacturer rather than the end user, ISSDA said.
