The 37-year-old actress and her co-star were so obsessed with the 1920s vintage dresses they they attempted to smuggle them off the sets, reported Contactmusic.
"It's weird, normally on set you find yourself holed up in your trailer. Waiting for call time, but those guys were just so disarmingly lovely. And I think we were all so enamoured with the costumes and sets that we waned to hang around even when we weren't shooting.
Fishler said it was her dream to work with Baz Luhrmann and she was shocked when his favourite director offered her a role in his new project.
"I remember seeing 'Romeo and Juliet' when I was 16 and thinking that if I could work with Baz, it would be ideal. It really was a dream come true and you could hardly wipe the smile from my face for the entire time on set.
