The Israeli assault targeted two trucks, one containing missiles and the other missile launchers, which were being transported to Hezbollah missile warehouses in Lebanon, Lebanese newspaper The Daily Star said.
The shipment that came under attack on Monday was reportedly carrying "a missile shipment from Syria" for Hezbollah, the report said.
Hezbollah today confirmed the air raid and vowed to respond "at the appropriate time" to the "blatant aggression".
"This new attack amounts to blatant aggression against Lebanon, its sovereignty and territory," the armed Shiite movement said in a statement.

Since the 2006 Second Lebanon War, which saw Israel battle Hezbollah for more than a month, the militant group is said to have built up an arsenal of tens of thousands of missiles that are directed at population centres in Israel.
