The chief minister in a meeting with Israel Ambassador Daniel Carmon here yesterday discussed the prospects of Isreal and Madhya Pradesh working together in areas like agriculture, irrigation, water management and floriculture, an official of state Public Relation Department said today.
The CM said Israel can also co-operate in the defence sector and Jabalpur and Gwalior are suitable places for it.
"Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country which has made a defence policy under the defence production policy of the Central government," Chouhan was quoted as saying by the official.
"Israel has developed itself as a nation under a difficult situation. Patriotism of Israel inspires us," Chouhan said.

"MP is the fastest developing state of the country. Agriculture growth rate has stood at more than 20 per cent in the last four years. Israel has set examples for works carried out in the field of agriculture and water management. More irrigation with less water can be learnt from Israel," the CM said.
Meanwhile, Carmon said Israel is a country which has experience to develop as a nation in adverse conditions.
The sectors include defence, agriculture, irrigation, water management, urban development and recycling, Carmon further said.
He also informed that Israel is developing centre of excellence in horticulture in different states of India and two such Two centres will be developed in Sehore and Shajapur districts of Madhya Pradesh.
