The military says it targeted nine sites in Gaza early today, including concealed rocket launchers, weapons manufacturing sites and what it called "terror activity" sites.
The previous evening, six rockets from Gaza struck Israel. Two of the rockets hit a factory in the town of Sderot, setting it ablaze.
There has been an increase in rocket fire toward Israel this month, with over 60 rockets launched from Gaza.
The increased rocket fire comes as the army carries out a wide-ranging operation against the Hamas in the West Bank and searches for three Israeli teens who Israel says were abducted by the Palestinian militant group.
