Gujarat Congress today asked the NDA Government to issue a "white paper" on black money and declare names of all those Indians who have parked illegal wealth in banks or tax havens abroad.
Congress leader Shankersinh Vaghela alleged that BJP is deliberately not disclosing names of all those holding illegal accounts in foreign banks as most of them have "connection" with the saffron outfit.
"I want the BJP-led Government to issue a white paper and declare names of all those citizens who have stashed black money abroad. It seems a majority of account holders have 'BJP connection'. That is why, the Government has declared only three names," he said in a press release here.
The former Chief Minister questioned the silence of yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who had aggressively taken up the issue of black money, on the matter.
"Why is Baba Ramdev, who supported BJP in their movement on black money, silent now? I want the Government to declare names of all those (having illegal bank accounts), irrespective of their connection with BJP or Congress."
The Congress leader also reminded the BJP-led government to fulfil their promise about black money during their canvasing ahead of Lok Sabha elections.

Vaghela asked the Modi Government to implement the BJP's pre-poll promise of distributing black money brought from foreign countries among the citizens.
"During the tenures of UPA-1 and 2, BJP ran a campaign to bring back black money. They made it an issue in Lok Sabha election. They took votes by promising to bring that money back and give it back to citizens. In reality, BJP fooled people on the black money issue" he said.
"They promised to bring back black money and give Rs 10 lakh-Rs 15 lakh to each citizen from that. Now, when BJP is in power, I want them to implement the promises made by their leaders in speeches ahead of elections," added Vaghela.
