IT officers chance upon narcotic drugs at five-star hotel room

A visit by Income Tax officers to a director from a well-known industrial house led to a chance discovery of a narocotic drug in a five-star hotel room today, sources said this evening.
IT officials today visited the man at the hotel in south Mumbai in connection with searches carried out for taxation purposes against the industrial house a few days ago.
They found drugs in the room and informed the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB), sources said.
NCB sources told PTI that the drug was suspected to be cocaine. However, further probe was on and nobody had been arrested yet.
