Starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed, the original film revolved around an do-gooder familyman, who decides to jump off a bridge after facing several adversities, thinking his life has been useless only to be inturrupted by an angel, who shows him otherwise.
Its sequel, "It's a Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story", is being financed by Allen J Schwalb of Star Partners who will also produce along with Bob Farnsworth of Hummingbird. The duo are aiming to get the movie into theaters for the 2015 holiday season.
The film, which has a proposed budget for USD 30 million, is yet to find a director. The script has been penned by Bob Farnsworth and Martha Bolton, who used to write for Bob Hope.
Grimes will return to the film as an angel, who has to guide George's grandson through a similar crisis.
