It's double 'dhamaka' for our family: Srikanth's parents

"It's dhamaka for our family" say the parents of Thailand Grand Prix Gold winner shuttler K Srikanth whose brother K Nandagopal also won a mixed doubles title in an international tournament in Maldives today.
"We are very happy. He has made the country proud," Srikanth's father K V S Krishna told PTI over phone from their native Guntur in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
""All credit for this victory goes to his coaches. It is they who guided him. I cannot expressed in words how he worked hard," he said.
Srikanth's brother K Nandagopal and his partner K Maneesha won the Li-Ning Maldives International Badminton Challenge mixed doubles title in Maldives.
"It is a double dhamaka for us today," Krishna said.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Badminton Associaton Secretary K Ch Punnaiah Choudary lauded the hard work put in by Srikanth's father to achieve success of his son and the efforts of the government, the badminton association and coaches.
