Parsekar, who also holds the finance portfolio, yesterday presented a Rs 14,694.17 crore budget for 2016-17 with plan outlay of Rs 4,008.05 crore, in the Assembly.
"This is election budget with so many promises. It is only showing temptations for the people (while) eyeing the upcoming state Legislative Assembly elections," Leader of Opposition Pratapsingh Rane said.
"Enhancing the upper age for government service, various subsidies for farmers and other incentives are basically to lure voters ahead of the elections. Chief Minister has tried to project a rosy picture," Rane said.
On the contrary, now they are increasing the upper age limit to join government sector from 40 to 45 years which will lead to more unemployment, he said.
The state borrowings have crossed Rs 10,000 crore mark, which is pushing the government in a debt trap, he said.
