The London Olympics bronze medalist is coming back from a long layoff and she's yet to get back to her best and the Lankan experienced boxer today said it's the perfect time to stun the Indian boxing queen.
"I strongly hope this is my best chance to beat her. I know I have a big challenge as I had lost to her by three points five years ago. But I'm more experienced now, and I'm confident to give her a big challenge," Anusha, who will be competing at the South Asian Games for the first time, said at the SAI Complex in North Eastern Hill University in the outskirts of the city here today.
She also had won a bronze at the Asian Championships in India in 2003 and another bronze at the Taiwan Open in 2004 before switching to the 51kg category.
The Lankan team coach Harsha Kumara too is confident that their team would taste success when boxing gets underway here Saturday.
"Four of our members including Anusha have won medals at the International level. We're confident of getting medals here," the Lankan coach said.
