Border guarding force ITBP will hold a first-ever exhibition of pictures taken by its jawans and officers from remote locations along the India-China border, a senior official said on Wednesday.
The exhibition, titled 'Through the eyes of the ITBP', will be held at the Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, here between October 5 and 6.
"The pictures that will be put on display include high definition photographs of mountains, lakes, valleys, flora, fauna, rivers and other scenic beauty which will surely be a treat to watch for the Delhiites and art lovers.
"More than hundred picture frames covering the picturesque beauty of Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh will be on display," a senior official said.
Most of the photographs have been captured on professional cameras, he said.
The official said the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has trained its personnel in the art of photography and in the past six years, about 150 jawans have been skilled on the subject.

The official Twitter handle of the force also puts out these photographs very often and it has earned it a number of 'likes' and 'retweets' in the past, he said.
The ITBP was raised in the aftermath of the 1962 Chinese aggression and it is primarily tasked to guard the 3488-km India-China border that witnesses sub-zero temperatures and rarified oxygen at most high-altitude locations.
