Special CBI Judge N K Sharma handed down the jail term to ITDC's erstwhile Legal Advisor Mahesh Chand Aggarwal and officiating General Manager (Personnel) Satgur Prasad Nigam, both aged 72 years.
The court held the two guilty of demanding Rs 30,000 as bribe from ITDC's Deputy General Manager P S Krishna in 1997 to release of his arrears.
The CBI had registered a case against them on Krishna's complaint in March 1997.
Krishna had alleged that while officiating as GM of the ITDC's Ashok Hotel, he had been suspended in July 1991 but he was absolved of the charges against him in a departmental probe and he resumed his duties in September 1995.
Krishna said he sought release of his arrears on December 13, 1995, but learnt that the matter was pending in the legal cell, following which he met Legal Advisor Aggarwal, who, in turn, asked him to meet Nigam.
Nigam told him to give at least 30 percent of his arrears to them if he wanted to get it release at the earliest, said Krishna, adding that he tape recorded his conversation with him and reported the matter to the CBI, which laid a trap and nabbed the two.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs 40,000 and Rs 60,000 on Aggarwal and Nigam respectively.
It, however, suspended their sentence till November 7 on furnishing a bail bond of Rs 30,000 and a surety of like amount.
