Two drug peddlers carrying 13.5 kg poppy husk and a dhaba owner involved in sale of drugs were arrested by Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), an official said today.
The drug peddlers were identified as Pappu Bhil (26) and Pankaj Bhil (24).
"Acting on a tip off, Pappu Bhil, who was on a motorbike, was detained by sleuths yesterday at Dewas Naka area of the city and poppy husk weighing 9 kg was recovered from him.
"Thereafter, Pankaj Bhil was nabbed at Sarvate Bus Stand in the town with 4.5 kg poppy husk," Indore CBN Superintendent Mukesh Khatri said.
Their interrogation led to the arrest of Balwant Singh, owner of a dhaba ((road side restaurant) located in Lodhpur village in neighbouring Dhar, he added.
The three, who used to run their contraband sale business from the dhaba, were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Khatri said, adding further investigations were on.
