The BJP team, led by national vice president Avinash Rai Khanna, met area residents and termed the unprovoked firing by Pakistan security forces "inhumane".
He said the Indian Army is well prepared to retaliate in a "fierce manner" to the "mischievous misdeeds" of Pakistan.
Two persons - a BSF jawan and a woman - were killed and several others injured in Arnia sector in firing by Pakistani security forces last week.
Khanna assured the residents that the BJP will look for provisions top provide all basic amenities to the victims.

"The border residents are not alone in bearing the brunt of the situation, as their feelings were felt by every single citizen of the nation," Sat Sharma said.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said the compensation provided to the families of the deceased civillians will be increased to Rs five lakh from the current compensation of Rs one lakh.
A process to provide government job to a member of the family of the deceased would also be initiated, he said.
