Yesterday, the state's Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu has presented Rs 79,472 crore deficit budget laying emphasis on pro-employees welfare initiatives, including the implementation of 7th Pay Commission from April next year.
"The budget is simply jugglery of words lacking any initiative and has failed to address the issues of different suffering sections of the society due to unprecedented hike of the prices of all commodities in recent times and failure of the government to stream line the system" JKPCC chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma said here today.
"The unemployed youth would face further undue expenditure and hassles of getting themselves registered before applying for any post. Lakhs of residents of the state are still without Aadhar card", he said.
Sharma said that there was another announcement of initiative to frame policy for regularisation of agitating casual and need based and daily wagers without identifying the different category of people and period.
He said once again BJP has failed to get withdrawn the pilgrimage tax imposed on Vaishno Devi and other pilgrims availing Helicopter services, despite repeated announcement by the BJP and its ministers.
