J&K Cabinet approves Rs 7.50 crore to tackle Hepatitis-C

With over 30 per cent of population of Korkernag health resort of the state affected by Hepatitis-C, the Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet today approved Rs 7.50 crore funds to tackle the dreaded disease.
The Cabinet, which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, approved Rs 7.50 crore in the first phase to deal with Hepatitis-C, which has affected over 30 per cent population in the affected areas.
State Public Enterprises Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, who represents Kokernag in the Assembly, extended his gratitude to the Chief Minister and the State Cabinet for the financial support to tackle the prevailing situation in the Takiya-Magam and Sonabrari areas of the Kokarnag constituency.
