J&K DGP meets family of SI killed in attack

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Prasad today paid condolences to the family of police officer killed in a militant attack earlier this week.
Prasad, along with ADGP coordination P L Gupta and other senior officers, visited the family of Sub Inspector Syed Shabir Ahmad in Saidpora village in Uri area of Baramulla district today and expressed solidarity with them, an official spokesman said.
Ahmad, who was posted as Station House Officer in Chadoora area of Budgam district, was killed when militants opened indiscriminate fire at him on Monday.
