J-K govt introduces Bill to streamline election process

Jammu and Kashmir government today introduced two Bills in the Legislative Assembly, one of which is aimed at bringing in amendments to streamline the election process in the state.
The Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Representation of the People Act, 1957, and State Ranbir Penal Code (L A Bill No.4 of 2014) was introduced by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah.
The second Bill (L A Bill No.5 of 2014) aims to make certain temporary provisions for the local areas of Jammu, Katra and Srinagar and for matters connected therewith.
It was introduced by Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies, Nawang Rigzin Jora.
