Acting on a complaint of the villagers, the FCSCA department placed ration dealer of Khour village under suspension and ordered an enquiry against him, he said.
The action against the erring dealer was taken after a deputation of the village met director of FCSCA R A Inqlabi and complained that some ineligible people are figuring in the ration holder's list which includes a lecturer of the Education Department and a deputy superintendent of the J-K police, the spokesman said.
It was also alleged that separate ration cards have also been made by dealer for unmarried people and youths, he said.
Acting on the complaint, the director ordered the assistant director to suspend the dealer.
