"The Governor and the Chief Minister discussed issues relating to internal and external security, implementation of development programmes and strengthening the functioning of Panchayats," an official spokesman said.
The elections to Panchayat Samitis and Urban Local Bodies, and strengthening the various Commissions, which act as the watchdogs of democracy, governance and accountability were also discussed, the spokesman said.
He said the meeting lasted for nearly 90 minutes.
