The meeting held at Raj Bhawan here lasted an hour, an official spokesman said.
They also discussed issues relating to effective coordination between all concerned government and private agencies to upgrade facilities to meet challenges posed by the increasing tourist arrivals to the state.
Issues pertaining to strengthening of anti-corruption measures and continuing improvement in the functioning of the government machinery were also discussed, he said.
The spokesman said Radha Kumar, who was one of the Centre's interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir, also called on the Governor in the evening.
During their meeting, the Governor and Kumar discussed as to how J and K could be "developed as a frontline state."
