J&K Guv meets two separate delegations, SKUAST's VC

Two separate delegations and the Vice Chancellor of Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology today called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra at Raj Bhavan here.
A delegation of International Red Cross' New Delhi-based Regional Committee, led by its head Mary Werntz, called on the Governor and thanked him for his support to the organisation's activities in the state, an official spokesman said here.
The delegation also briefed him about the various programmes being run by the organisation in the state.
Another seven member delegation of Bogdang village from Nobra in Leh called on Vohra and apprised him about the hardships being faced by locals residing in the remote areas.
The delegation, led by Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council's councillor Abdul Ali, demanded the government's support for building requisite facilities in the region.
The Governor assured the delegation of all possible support for the development of Bogdang, the spokesperson said.
Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology's Vice Chancellor Tej Pratap also met Vohra and briefed him about the various activities and research work undertaken by the varsity to enhance agricultural productivity in the state, he added.
