"This event marks the revival of a centuries old cultural heritage. The Sharda script takes us back to our ancient history and roots", Vohra said releasing the Primer here last evening.
The publication was a welcome step towards the revival of the ancient Sharda script which is a mother of many languages, he said.
The Governor also suggested the setting up of a centre at Jammu for the collection, consolidation, classification and translation of literature in Sharda script, besides research projects for the revival and promotion of this language.
