"There is need for expeditious completion of the SMVDIME at Kakryal and other major ongoing projects of the Shrine Board," Vohra said while laying the foundation of eight residential building blocks in the SMVDIME complex yesterday.
The buildings are being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 51 crore.
Vohra, who is also the Chairman of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, said the multi-super speciality hospital being constructed by the Board will provide quality medical services to people of the surrounding areas and pilgrims of Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji Shrine.
Later, Vohra chaired a meeting to review the status of work of the upcoming Institute of Medical Excellence and other major infrastructure development projects being implemented by the Shrine Board for meeting the future requirements of the pilgrims, he said.
Vohra also issued instructions for laying emphasis on undertaking plantation activity in the Shrine area, making available more locker facilities and reconstruction and upgradation of toilet blocks, the spokesman said.
