With crisp movements and singing their regimental song, the rigorously trained 183 recruits, hailing from different parts of the state, took an oath to serve the cause of the nation at the ceremony with a march past held at Rangreth headquarters, 10 km from here.
Commandant Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) Regimental Centre, Brig Pankaj Sinha, reviewed the passing out parade (PoP) and Attestation Ceremony.
He congratulated the parents of the soldiers of having "dedicated their sons" towards protecting their motherland and choosing the noble profession of soldiering.
On the occasion, Naib Subedar Nadeem Iqbal was also felicitated as he made the country, Army, and JAKLI proud by being the only Olympian from Jammu and Kashmir.

Apart from him, the Regiment has also produced other sportsmen of International acclaim like Naib Subedar Chain Singh who won Bronze medal at Asian Games 2014 in Korea and Hav Rafiq Ahmed Malik, who is first Everester from the state.
