Taking a strong note of the incident, the Minister asked the Director School Education in Jammu to initiate disciplinary action against the headmaster, officials said.
She said such inhuman practises won't be tolerated as it not only mar the future of the students but also defame this noble profession.
Sethi took a round of various sections of the schools, to ascertain the status of services being available. She enquired about the student-teacher ratio, quality of education and learning outcome.
She also asked him to ensure that the teachers are posted in schools as per student strength.
She assured the teachers that they will be provided adequate facilities so that they can discharge their duties in a hassle-free manner.
"The Government would explore all possibilities to equip all pre-primary schools with requisite infrastructure," she maintained.
