J-K Minister orders suspension of 6 employees

Jammu and Kashmir's Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today ordered suspension of six government officials for their alleged unauthorised absence and dereliction of duty.
The Minister, during a visit to the directorate office here, checked the attendance register and found Ashish Goswami, Manjeet Singh (Senior Assistants), Preeti Koul, Sujata (Junior Assistants) and Ramesh Chander(Dak runner) absent from duty without seeking permission from the competent authority, an official spokesman said.
Taking serious note of the unauthorised absence of these officials, the Minister ordered their immediate suspension, he said.
During his visit, the Minister also inspected different sections of the Directorate and took stock of their working.
He inspected the portion of the office building which was damaged in a fire incident a few months ago.
The Minister has also ordered the suspension of supervisor Mohammad Ali Kamal, posted at Food Corporation of India (FCI) Gudwon, Mir Bazar in Anantnag district for dereliction of duty, spokesman said.

It was found that the supervisor accepted poor quality of food grains from the FCI, he said, adding that the food grain is meant for Marwah and Dachan areas of Kishtwar district which remain cut off from rest of the state during the winter season.
Expressing concern over the condition of offices housed in the damaged portion, the Minister asked the authorities to shift these in rented accommodation and started the renovation.
The offices to be shifted include Migrant relief office and offices of Assistant Directors.
