J-K people looking for change: PDP

PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today exhorted workers to reach out to masses and apprise them about party plans as people were fed up with the present set up and wanted a change from the Omar led government in the state.
"The party cadre should aggressively pursue visionary agenda of the PDP. The change is imminent in the state and people are looking towards PDP to get them rid from the present inept and corrupt dispensation," Mufti said.
Addressing senior party workers of Jammu district here, Mufti said PDP is the real voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the party has to play historic role in the political history the state.
"Regional parties are emerging all over the country. West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Orrisa, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab are examples where regional parties are dominating political scenes", he said.
He said that PDP being the most credible and genuine regional force of J-K has to address aspirations and wishes of all regions and sub-regions of the state.
"It is my desire to establish a system where every section of the society would get justice and equal opportunity for development and economic growth", he said and added that the agenda of PDP is formulated by accommodating wishes and aspirations of all regions and sub-regions of the State.
