"The people of Jammu and Kashmir are fed up with the present setup and they want a change to get rid of the corrupt NC-led government in the state," PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said while addressing public meetings in Loren and Poonch today.

Mufti said people of the state were looking towards PDP to remove the "corrupt" National Conference-Congress regime which had made "empty promises" in the last four years.

She said people living in far-flung areas suffered the most due to the "wrong policies" of the NC-led government, and said they were deprived of basic amenities like drinking water, power and health facilities.

Mufti claimed the state government had failed to provide relief to people in lieu of cumbersome LPG gas registration process and black marketing of the LPG cylinders.

She said the number of unemployed youths in the state was growing and the government was not taking any steps to address this.

Mufti said various developmental projects which were started during the PDP regime were being stalled. "Roads are in depleted condition, people have to walk miles to get water and health facilities are almost none in these areas," she said.

She appealed to the people, especially the youth, to support the PDP's struggle for change so that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's vision of a peaceful and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir could be achieved.
