J&K police conduct activities to help young artists

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Prasad today said the organisation has been conducting various activities under the Civic Action Programme to explore the hidden talent of the state's youths.
"J&K Police have been conducting various activities under the prestigious 'Civic Action Programme' to explore the hidden talent of the youth of the state," the DGP said at the concluding ceremony of the eight-day National Level Art Camp, organised by J&K Police Housing Corporation at Gulshan Ground here this evening.
He asked the youth and art lovers of the state to avail the opportunity provided by J&K Police to showcase their skills in the field of art and said that such events are conducted with the aim to provide a platform to the reputed artists to share their experience with the budding artists.
As many as 11 artists with national fame including one from Russia participated in the camp, besides local artists.
Prasad said such camps opens new vistas of opportunities for the youth and art lovers which helps them fulfilling their dreams in the field.
The DGP said the Jammu and Kashmir Police Organisation, besides its professional duties has been carrying out different cultural, social and sports activities to promote police-public relations which are mandatory in present times.
He also stressed the need for promoting moral ethics and rich culture which is the unique identification of the country.
