This decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Director General of state Police K Rajindra Kumar here. The meeting was attended by senior officers from Security, CID, CRPF, Airport Authority of India and other wings, a police spokesman said.
"With due consideration to the fact that there has been a perceptible improvement in security situation, it was decided to take immediate steps to de-congest the access system so that people do not face hardships and unpleasant experience," the spokesman said.
"It was felt in the meeting that without compromising the security of the airport steps can be taken to ease out the hassles faced by the people," the spokesman said.
He said all concerned were directed to ensure that necessary steps are taken forthwith to provide relief to the passengers.
