Over 300-350 government employees took out 'Sampark' march here in a bid to unite all the trade unions and federations and constitute a state-level forum to raise their demands.
Another 'Sampark' march was also held in Kupwara to raise the demands of the government employees.
The demands include regularisation of daily wagers, enhancement of retirement age to 60 years and removal of pay anomalies in all cadres, among others.
Suresh Sharma, Member of the JAC, alleged that the government was adopting divide-and-rule policy and some decisions were imposed by government-supported trade unions which were not acceptable to JAC.
He said the employees had suffered due to factionalism and self-imposed leadership under different names in the trade union movement in the state.
