NSF workers led by president Vikas Sharma assembled outside University here and staged a sit-in to protest against the delay.
"Varsity administration has violated the norms by recruiting the retired teachers and other staff members. As per the norms, the serving officials should not be above 65 years but the administration has recruited some teachers who are above 65 years," he said.
He also requested Governor N N Vohra to order a high-level inquiry into the delay.
