Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police today issued a directive to the state government and security forces asking them to remove pressure horns from their vehicles immediately.

Inspector General of Traffic Police Basant Rath said illegal pressure horns are installed in trucks and other vehicles of police, Army, CRPF, BSF and other government vehicles in the state.

I have observed that most of the government vehicles (trucks, buses and mini-buses) of various organisations like Police, Army, CRPF, BSF, Municipal Corporation and others have pressure horns installed on them, Rath said in an advisory issued here today.

He said these devices are illegal and need to be dismantle immediately.

The IG issued directives to senior superintendent of police, traffic wings in Jammu and Srinagar to ensure removal of these pressure horns and said that he will keep an eye on their daily performance in this regard.
